Adam J. Bezark <\/strong><\/span>is an award-winning Writer and Creative Director who fuses a wide variety of media and technologies to produce startling new entertainment experiences. By applying his background in theatrical storytelling to museums and historic centers, Adam has helped redefine the world of <\/span>immersive experiences<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n Adam\u2019s creative experience covers both consulting and executive roles. As Director, Creative Entertainment at <\/span>Walt Disney Imagineering<\/strong><\/span>, Adam was responsible for developing new entertainment concepts, products, and master strategies for Disney theme parks in Asia and the United States. The Bezark Company is an ongoing consultant to WDI on a variety of new projects.<\/span><\/p>\n Prior to his Disney position, Adam was Senior Show Designer at <\/span>Landmark Entertainment Group<\/strong><\/span>.<\/span> There he conceived, wrote, designed and\/or directed over sixty projects, including several \u201cmega-attractions\u201d for Universal Studios. These include the <\/span>JAWS <\/em><\/strong><\/span>ride at Universal Studios Florida, <\/span>Jurassic Park: The Ride<\/em><\/strong><\/span>,<\/span> and the award-winning <\/span>Terminator 2: 3D <\/em><\/strong><\/span>virtual adventure. He is credited as an inventor on two patents for creative technologies developed for these attractions. Adam also co-directed the popular <\/span>IllumiNations<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>nighttime spectacular at Walt Disney World\u2019s <\/span>Epcot<\/strong><\/span>; developed concepts for attractions at <\/span>Disneyland Paris <\/strong><\/span>and <\/span>Tokyo Disneyland<\/strong><\/span>; wrote and co-directed the closing ceremonies celebrating the 50th anniversary of San Francisco\u2019s <\/span>Golden Gate Bridge<\/strong><\/span>;<\/span> consulted on the <\/span>Atlanta Centennial Olympic Ceremonies<\/strong><\/span>;<\/span> and conceived countless rides, shows, exhibits and attractions for <\/span>Disney, Universal<\/strong><\/span>,<\/span> and other entertainment design firms.<\/span><\/p>\n In the realm of international events, Adam directed the $13 million <\/span>Hong Kong 97 Spectacular<\/strong>, <\/em><\/span>commemorating Hong Kong\u2019s return to Chinese sovereignty. Over one billion people around the world viewed the hour-long pageant on 1 July 1997. He has worked with, and developed material for, an impressive roster of celebrity talent: <\/span>John Lasseter<\/strong>, Steven Spielberg<\/strong>, James Cameron<\/strong>, Arnold Schwarzenegger<\/strong>, Johnny Depp <\/strong><\/span>and others.<\/span><\/p>\n More recently, Adam served on the Creative Leadership Team as Show Writer for <\/span>Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure<\/em><\/strong><\/span> at Shanghai Disneyland.<\/span><\/p>\n Adam is a member of the\u00a0<\/span>Themed Entertainment Association<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and is a past President of the TEA\u2019s Western\u00a0Division. His attractions have been awarded with several\u00a0<\/span>Thea Awards<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0for Outstanding Attractions, and he has\u00a0also served on the <\/span>Thea Award Nominating Committee<\/strong><\/span>.
